Amazing experience! And it's not too far from the city.
The park and the animals are very well kept, the staff was always friendly and food from the café is not bad either. I had a great day feeding all the farm animals and learning more about the New Zealand's unique species. Sadly the Kiwi habitat is very dark and no photos are allowed but it's worth the visit if you never saw one before.

I absolutely loved my time at Willowbank
I absolutely loved my time at Willowbank! Although it rained on our visit we still had a great time as we had the park to ourselves for a majority of the time. Feeding the deers was a joy and seeing the range of animals that live and visit the park was lovely. It was great to see some native New Zealand animals including Kea birds, Tuatara's and of course, Kiwis! The staff were incredibly friendly and told us if we don't spot the kiwis ourselves to come back and ask a ranger for help as you're guaranteed kiwi sightings during your visit. The staff were all incredibly helpful and the cafe was the perfect place to rest after a cold, wet few hours exploring the large park. I highly recommend this park!
